There is undeniably a wide range of phones to choose from now. From high-end to budget to mid-tier. It all boils down to what your needs are. And another factor to look at is the OS preference- whether iOS or Android. Lucky for me, I don’t have to choose because I have both: one as a main phone and the other for gaming (mostly). Now about having a phone for entertainment, the OPPO A95 is the best fit and let me tell you why:
Disclaimer: For this feature, I am reviewing a the loaner unit of OPPO A95 from OPPO. However, the views are 100% based on my hands-on experience of the unit.

Unboxing the OPPO A95
When I had my hands on the unit, the box was straightforward and similar to how phones are packaged nowadays. A quick unboxing showed me the basics: the unit, an adapter, the data cable, and a set of manuals and warranty receipts.
Appreciate the visuals of OPPO A95
OPPO A95 comes in two stylish designs: Glowing Rainbow Silver and Glowing Starry Black. The unit I tested comes in Glowing Rainbow Silver. It has a bluish tinge of silver that reflects light nicely when exposed. The texture of the back is glossy and feels expensive to touch. I do, however, feel that it can be prone to slipping due to its sleek design. The phone weighs only 175g and has a thickness of just 7.95mm. I gotta be honest, though, these dimensions are normal to phone models these days.
The phone boasts a 6.43-in AMOLED FHD+ screen that covers entire facade. On the upper-right is the front-camera making it a punch hole design. The AMOLED FHD+ screen works great both indoors and outdoors. Even though I had a little difficulty seeing the display when I used it outside, it can take a quick adjusting to. The 20:9 Aspect Ratio was a joy to look at as I personally prefer seeing more on my screen. The colors are vibrant and the images are crisp. Playing HD videos on YouTube on this phone gave the material justice.
Get Your Game on on OPPO A95
While I have my Nintendo Switch for my main gaming, I also am a fan of mobile games such as Mobile Legends and Call of Duty. It was just right that I tried playing ranked games of ML on OPPO A95. I was delighted the moment I loaded the game because the graphics looked really good! The gaming experience was smooth too, especially with the Gaming Mode on.
The phone should be able to run games and multiple apps at the same time. It has an expandable 128GB ROM and an 8GB RAM. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 which makes up for a snappy experience. Switching apps was a breeze and did not feel clunky at all. Perfect for those who are too lazy to close open apps such as me or our moms! Its ultra-long battery life of 5000 mAh will also ensure that you’ll be able to use it for a long time before the next charge!
And now let’s talk about one of the biggest considerations when buying a new phone: the camera. OPPO A95 did not lack on this department. Both the front and back camera are worth looking at! The 48 MP Triple back camera takes great photos both indoors and outdoors, and even at low light! It also has an AI imaging feature. Meanwhile, the front camera is good for videocall with friends as it has a 16 MP lens. Take a look at some of the shots I took with this phone:
The OPPO A95 is a smart daily companion for a regular usage. Its decent specs are great for the pricepoint and it can do the regular tasks. For a starting price of PHP 15, 990 it sure is a steal especially for its 48MP Triple back camera and long-lasting battery life.
