Hi there, Bingers! So it’s been almost 3 months since we got on lockdown due to COVID-19. Since then, we spent every single day at home because we are restricted and it is not safe. In fact, I already finished lots of TV shows and movies on Netflix! I have done a rewatch of my favorite series and even tried new ones such as Thai BL and K-Dramas. But you know what it is not healthy to stay stagnant. We still have to keep on moving. The big question, however, is how to do it? Especially now that gyms are closed and it is terrifying to jog outside (not to mention the summer heat!). Lucky for us, I found some apps and YouTube channels that help me stay on track with my fitness goals. Bingers, check out these sites and apps for your home workout! And yes, if you also don’t have equipment at home, there’s no need to worry!
- Blogilates (YouTube, Free)
First off, don’t be intimidated by the word ‘pilates’. Yes, they do a lot of stretching and works out the body with just your own weight but trust me these workouts are hella exhausting and fun at the same time. Cassey Ho makes her workouts exciting and fun. It’s like hanging out with a friend while keeping it fit. I have been following her workouts since 2017 everytime I take a break from the gym because pilates is perfect for recovery days. Not only it targets parts of your body, it also enhances your flexibility!
- HIIT Down Dog (App, Paid)
HIIT or High Intensity Interval Workouts are perfect for us who are stuck at home at got no gym equipment. These sets of workouts uses only your body to perform various movements such as push-ups, burpees, and mountain climbers. Typically, a HIIT workout will got for 3-5 minutes per round that has to be performed 3-4 times for maximum effect. Yes, this will keep your heart pounding and keep your calorie burning even the following day! What I love about this app is it incorporates pop music to your routine! - Anytime Workouts (App, Free)
As you all know, I am enrolled in Anytime Fitness and before the quarantine, I never missed a day at the gym. Sadly now, the gyms are closed and it is uncertain when they are going to reopen. Good thing is Anytime Fitness has an app that is a great source of different workouts for different goals. Whether you want to focus on your muscles, on toning, or on losing fat, it’s all right here!
- Skimble Workout Trainer (App, Free)
This is another workout app that I have been using for the longest time. When I discovered this, I fell in love with the variety of workouts and its customization. Just like any other app I’ve mentioned, it lets pick a workout or a body part to focus on. With one difference, there are kickboxing workouts here which I really love. - Just Dance 2020 (Nintendo Switch, PS4, Paid)
Okay, Bingers. This is one of my favorites. I mean, sure, it is a game but to burn calories while dancing to your favorite tracks? SIGN ME UP! Why don’t we play sometime?
