Bingers, how did you spend your summer vacation? Did you hit the beach? Had a staycation? Or caught up on your TV shows on Netflix? Well, me? Aside from going to my day job and attending events for this blog, I also enjoyed a night filled with music at the Coke Studio Summer Concert! This is the second time I attended the concert- the first one was later last year at the launch of Coke Studio Homecoming! There would have been a concert last December but something happened which is why Coca-Cola pushed it to summer for a bigger and better concert! The anticipation was worth the wait so let’s head on over to my experience below!
Coke Studio Summer Concert happened last April 25, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Ylona Garcia and Justin Quirino led the show and upped the energy for the entire crowd. I left work early for the concert because I knew that it was going to be fun. Withstanding the traffic to the south, my heart was starting to scream FOMO. Luckily, my friend and I arrived just in time for the start of the concert.
As soon as we entered the VIP section of the stage, the energy of the crowd captivated me. Everything is larger- the set, the location, and the stage! Previously, the stage was just in front but this time, it is wider and gives the audiences a 360 degree view of it. No matter which part of the arena you choose to stay, you’ll get a great view of the performers.
Speaking of the performers, the Summer Concert had an amazing line-up which included performances from Sam Concepcion, Khalil Ramos, Quest, Patty Tiu, Kriesha Chu, Urbandub, Abra, Shanti Dope, KZ Tandingan, Apl.de.ap, Juan Miguel Severo, IV of Spades, and Ben & Ben! Personally, Ben&Ben’s set was my most favorite of the entire night! My friends and fellow bloggers spent most of the time at the photobooths taking photo for Instagram but as soon as Ben&Ben entered the stage, we ran inside the arena and sang our hearts out!
Coca-Cola sure knows how to treat their fans! The summer was hot but the concert was so much hotter with cool performances! And oh, have I mentioned, the concert was free for all! Honestly, I can’t wait for the next installment of Coke Studio!
