“Bigger is better!”
Brands LOVE using this tagline to promote their brands! I mean, why not? As consumers, we’d want to get the most out of our purchases. But sometimes, there are naysayers who will argue that that is not always the case because there are some instances where quality is being compromised for quantity. Marketing talk aside, I gotta say that the sequel to the 2016 rebirth of Godzilla proves that BIGGER IS BETTER! Bingers, let me tell you how Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters blew my mind!

Bring in the Titans!
Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters promises an action-filled movie experience and delivered just that! Last May 28, Warner Bros. Pictures had us, The Little Binger, at the special advanced screening of the movie at the IMAX theatre in SM Megamall! The movie is definitely one of my most anticipated films of 2019 because of its massive proportions!
The sequel started with Monarch and their exposition that Godzilla is not the only Titan on earth. They revealed that there are 17 more…and counting! From this point on, I knew that I was going to have a blast during the movie! The first Godzilla movie brought on the destruction and showed off the monsters enormous power! In the sequel, however, he was given more spotlight and opportunity to show these off!
Come to Humans for the Drama
As the discovered Titans start to emerge from beneath the earth, the threat to humanity grows. In any monster movie, the human element serves as the breather and is a very much welcomed part. In Godzilla 2, however, the attention was given to a family of scientists working for Monarch. Initially, I stood firm that the movie could have gone without it because they bring nothing new to the table. That was until an interesting turning point which revealed a character’s unconventional mindset!
In a slew of highly-dramatic and irrational characters, there was one character that had me sitting at the edge of my seat for using brain over heart. Having this turning point made the movie so much interesting. And speaking of interesting aspects of the film, the expanded look at the kaiju universe was the best part! At some point, I thought that Godzilla had some sort of a crossover with Aquaman because of a brief look at a place that looks like Atlantis. Apparently, that was a deeper look at the lore! Godzilla 2 met every bit of my anticipation! Despite the almost unnecessary human drama, the movie delivered explosive action sequence that were nothing short of incredible!
The film hits its highest moments when it puts the spotlight on the monsters! With leading Titans- Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah- facing the King, every sequence is like a page out of the comics or anime! Brilliant and jawdroping sequences treat me and took for a ride! Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters let the monsters shine and feature their power and deliver a an action-filled flick! The slow beginning of the movie was easily made up of the full-throttled second half of the film!
It is bigger and crazier! Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters is a total treat!
