This October, SM Southmall and Buku-Buku Kafe, celebrated United Nations by conducting a series of art workshops. The event comes at a perfect time with their campaign promoting peace through art. The Art for Peace is a series of art workshops that ran for a week from October 21 to 24. Various activities such as sketch workshop, face painting, paper cutting workshop, and music session filled the week-long schedule of the event.
We attended the event on October 21 where Filipino Artist Realist Movement or FARM facilitated the sketching workshop. Buku-Buku Kafe customers who purchased at least P300 worth of items entered the activity. For the sketching activity, customers received everything they need- papers, pencils, and paint. Participants enjoyed a 2-hr freestyle sketching activity facilitated by FARM.
