Blade Runner 2049 Movie Review

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Expectations are high for the 30-year-in-the-making sequel to Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. The film was highly advanced for its time when it came out making it one of the tent poles of sci-fi films. Surprisingly, despite its smart plot and visually stunning imagery, it did not immediately receive the success it deserves. Unfortunately, it appears that the sequel, Blade Runner 2049, is experiencing the same. I, for one, is a fan of Denis Villeneuve’s work at the sequel, and let me list down some of the reasons why you should see Blade Runner 2049.

Others are even calling it one of the worst movies of the recent years. REVIEW: Ballet Manila’s Ibong Adarna

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Ibong Adarna is a staple reading requirement among high school students. It is about the hunt for the elusive bird with magical healing properties. Truly, a classic. To push for Ballet Manila’s advocacy to ‘bring ballet to the people and bring people to ballet,’ they adapted the lore to kick off the 22nd performance season of the dance company. Entitled Flights of Fantasy, the season will feature familiar narratives on stage.
