There is a new hang-out spot in the South! As a Laguna kid, my family and friends’ go-to place is Nuvali, Paseo de Sta.Rosa, or Tagaytay. Well, no surprise there because it has everything we need- cafes, restaurants, and open spaces. But I also know that it is best to avoid those areas this holiday season because the traffic is horrible. Good for us, Chatsi Coffee House & Beanery is very accessible. On top of that, they serve great food! They served us their best dishes and drinks from the menu during the Bloggers Night and I can’t wait to share them all with you!
As a south kid blogger, I consider attending events beyond Ortigas a journey! These areas are easily reachable but the traffic makes everything extra bad! Well, that will no longer be the case. Recently, my favorite gelato shop opened their first flagship store in the northern side of the metro. Mio Gelati is now up and running in Ayala Vertis North. On November 10, I attended the grand launch along with other food and lifestyle bloggers. We were treated to their best-sellers and even introduced us to their new line of treats!
We’re now a few weeks away from celebrating Christmas and that means that establishments all over the country will start boasting their holiday decors. Last week, SM Malls started the rounds in their different key stores. The major mall in the south, SM Southmall welcomed, us, bloggers and other special guests to the lighting of their giant Christmas Tree. On top of this, live music and a special performance from Stages delighted those who participated in the event!
We all loved Disney•Pixar movies for their outstanding storytelling, groundbreaking plots, and incredible animation. Every movie is great on its own. Who would have thought that a movie about talking marine animals could be a hit or a house filled with balloons can make us sob? Apparently, for the animation company, the sky is the limit. Nothing can stop them, not even death. This is proven true in their latest film Coco, based on the Mexican tradition Dia de las Muertos or Day of the Dead.
In celebration of the release of Disney•Pixar’s latest film, Coco, Filipino animator Gini Santos visited her home country on Nov. 6 to 7. Santos created a history in Pixar as the first woman Supervising Animator.
Loads of 80’s pop culture references, a small town conspiracy, and awesome story. Netflix definitely hit the jackpot in 2016 with its original series, Stranger Things. It grew a huge fanbase when it came out last year and it was a no-brainer that a sequel is very much warranted. In 2017, the Duffer Brothers brought back the gang and took the audiences to another adventure at the small town of Hawkins.
Netflix PH invited me to be among the very first in the country to enjoy Stranger Things season 2 weeks prior to its release. To say that I am a huge fan of the series is an understatement and to have this privilege was extra special! Upon receiving an access to the episodes, I binge-watched the season in 2 Days. Yes, slow for a nine-episode season but hey, I have a day job! With that said, here are the 5 burning questions that I had after watching Stranger Things 2.
(Beware: spoilers are up ahead. )
I’m at this point in my life where I should be carefree with my money. I have a regular job, I have some bills to pay, but also, I have my expenses for leisure. But sometimes, I tend to go overboard my budget. I can admittedly say that I am not as financially literate as I would want to become. Simple budgeting is not enough. Luckily for me, and for us millennial, Sun Life launched three digital financial literacy initiatives that will help Filipinos be smarter with their money.
