'Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald' Steps Away from the Shadows of Harry Potter

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Bingers, I am pretty sure most of us grew up watching the Harry Potter movies and even read all the books. JK Rowling has been our hero at some point in our lives. The 7 novels have been adapted greatly into 8 films. Yet, we still craved for more. We still wanted to know more about the universe Rowling has created. We got Pottermore and in 2016, we got Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The movie was loosely a prequel to the events of Harry Potter. In fact, it goes way way back. And to be quite honest, I did not like it then. It felt like an opportunity for the franchise to get something out of nostalgia. Surprisingly, its sequel Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald took me by surprise with how much improvement it has been than the first! Curious? Continue reading to know our thoughts about it!

5 Things I Loved About Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Reading Time: 4 minutes

The magic began when Netflix granted us access to the first half of the upcoming series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. As much as this excited me, I was also a bit hesitant with the fact that it might share the same universe as Riverdale. My worry stems from me giving up on the series after its first season. It was based off of the Archie comics which I read growing up, the TV series, however, was an entirely different thing. Still, partly due to my curiosity about the new show which I first learned of during APCC, I accepted the offer and half-wittingly started watching Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. My hesitations faded away few minutes into the pilot. It is wicked! So with that, let me share with you the five things that I loved about Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

'Halloween' Slashes With Its Scares

Reading Time: 3 minutes

If anybody would ask me what my favorite film genre is, without batting an eyelash, I would say horror. I may have developed a taste in film and enjoyed the quality ones and endured the crappy ones, but at the end of the day, horror movies will always be my go-to! I exposed myself to various types in the genre- slasher, psychological, torture…name it! And of course, I picked my favorites. Among of which are the Saw franchise, Sinister, Friday the 13th, and of course, Halloween! Speaking of, 40 years since the movie premiered in 1978, Halloween returns to tie some loose ends. Hopefully.

'First Man' Lands a Grounded Tale

Reading Time: 3 minutes

He is not just an astronaut nor just the first man who ever stepped on the moon. He is also a husband, a dreamer, and most of all, a father. First Man uncovers every layer of Neil Armstrong and Ryan Gosling paints the character as a real human. Damien Chazelle’s biopic about the legendary astronaut is such a feat that you will find yourself so engaged in the story. United International Pictures invited us to a private screening  for the press of First Man and here are our thoughts about the movie.
