What were you doing in 1995? Me? I was still in my crib trying to learn the alphabets at the age of 3. Coincidentally, Jumanji starring the late Robin Williams came out that year. Despite the age difference, I grew up watching and falling in love with the movie! It has everything- action, drama, adventure, and most of all, comedy! To not much of my surprise, the movie received a sequel 22 years later. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle takes on the myth and gives it a contemporary vibe.

The latter is one of my favorites because of the magic in its story and the tale of good triumphing over evil. Its multidimensional characters also hooked me to the story. With that said, it is no surprise that I am more than stoked when I received an invite from Ballet Manila to attend the world premiere of Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s Snow White.
