Three Reasons Non-Fans Should See Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Let’s admit it. Not everyone is a Star Wars fan, very much like not everyone is a Potterhead. That’s not a problem at all. In fact, I think that is interesting. To be honest, before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, I was not a fan of the franchise. The story of the film then cemented my love for the narrative. Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out, you can’t help but miss out on the film that everybody is talking about! Worry not because here are three reasons why you should still see the biggest movie of the year even if you are not a fan!

New Beginnings

Yes, The Last Jedi still follows the saga of the Skywalker family drama which started a long time ago in Star Wars: A New Hope. The fight for the galaxy between the First Order and the Resistance is a seemingly never-ending one with one-upping the other in every turn. In 2016, The Force Awakens introduced us to new characters- Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). These new characters usher in a new narrative for this space opera.

Familiar Faces

If your Star Wars knowledge is basic, you probably know who Yoda, Luke, Darth Vader, Han Solo (OMG!), and Princess Leia are. Some of these characters are back in the film to complete some narratives while some starts one. Intrigued? Go watch the movie to figure it out!

Discover New Worlds

The possibilities for an intergalactic space opera such as Star Wars are endless! The sky is no longer the limit. As the characters seek out to balance the force and as the Rebellion defends the galaxy against the ruling of the First Order, the audiences get treated to new worlds and new characters. Both of which play their parts for spectacle and narrative expansion.

Don’t miss the eight chapter in the story. Even non-fans will fall in love and be at the edge of their seats as Star Wars: The Last Jedi gets bolder with surprises lurking in every corner!
