As a copywriter by day and a blogger by night (and even day, sometimes), creative block is no joke! It is as real as it gets! There are days when I just run out of inspiration to get the creative juice flowing. Lots of factors cause it and one sure thing is the working environment. I am stuck on most days inside our office while crafting ideas for my brands. I am not gonna lie, it gets draining at times! There are days when I just want to get out of the office and head to a park, coffee shop, or a co-working space. Co-working spaces are in abundance in Makati. As a wandering millennial, I don’t mind going to places. Maginhawa gets on top of my head when I get the urge to head north and the best thing about it is there is now a haven for us creatives- Cerebrew!
It is that time of the year again when year-end reviews and blog posts are created. In my first year of blogging, I did the same but an incident happened on my blog that everything was swept out. Sad, I know, but hey I moved and everything happens for a reason! So, here is a year-end post where I will reminisce the good (and bad!) things that happened in 2017! Ready?
Everyone I know who goes out of the country has Taiwan as their top destination. Why wouldn’t it be when seat sales are happening all year round and the country is now Visa-free for Filipinos? Beautiful travel spots and incredible dining experiences are among the great things that the country has to offer. When the craving for Taiwanese cuisine hits, foodies no longer have to book a roundtrip plane ticket to Taiwan to get their fill. Fat Fook Manila is opening their second branch in Robinsons Galleria to serve authentic Taiwanese flavors.
A large chunk of my childhood at home was spent watching Disney classics such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Snow White. The latter is one of my favorites because of the magic in its story and the tale of good triumphing over evil. Its multidimensional characters also hooked me to the story. With that said, it is no surprise that I am more than stoked when I received an invite from Ballet Manila to attend the world premiere of Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s Snow White.
A fill of pure magic, romance, and fantasy- that’s what Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Ballet Manila’s CEO and Artistic Director, promises to everyone who will witness Snow White. The adaptation of the beloved fairy tale will be the third outing of Ballet Manila’s 22nd Performing season, Flights of Fantasy.
There is a new hang-out spot in the South! As a Laguna kid, my family and friends’ go-to place is Nuvali, Paseo de Sta.Rosa, or Tagaytay. Well, no surprise there because it has everything we need- cafes, restaurants, and open spaces. But I also know that it is best to avoid those areas this holiday season because the traffic is horrible. Good for us, Chatsi Coffee House & Beanery is very accessible. On top of that, they serve great food! They served us their best dishes and drinks from the menu during the Bloggers Night and I can’t wait to share them all with you!
