Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and for many singles in Metro Manila, it can either be a moment for celebration or a moment of suffering. As for me, I have been single for too long and I cannot see any downside to it. With that said, let me share with you 5 Advantages of Being Single this Valentine’s Day!

Seriously guys, this may sound like a cliche but couples really do fight over gifts. Forgetting to get your special someone a bouquet of flowers or a jewelry on Valentine’s Day can be a big trouble! Luckily for us, singles, we no longer have to worry about that! And let’s be real, it is not easy to buy your special someone a gift. It may take us hours walking around the mall looking for that perfect item because an internal dialogue keeps on playing in our head, “Is he/she going to like this?”

Of course, it does not end at buying your partner a gift. You also have to take them out on a date! And it should no longer come as a surprise that fine dining restaurants get fully booked in as early as a month before February 14! May I just add that dining in fancy restaurants can get a pricey too? But hey, everything for your special someone, right?
It could even end up in a disaster. - Wednesday Humpday Traffic
Would you take a look at that? Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday this year! Before we start thinking of something else here about Wednesday being a Humpday, what I was trying to say was it’s just no fun having a date knowing that you will still have to report to work the following day. As we all know, EDSA does not pick a day to get people stuck in it, not even this special day!

Don’t you just love it whenever you think of a plan to do at the end of the day after your work? Go to the gym, go see a movie, or watch a new show on Netflix. The joys of being free to do whatever you want! Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you won’t have to worry about reserving a table for two at a fancy restaurant, or buying a special gift, why don’t you treat yourself instead! You deserve it!
